It has been a pretty long time since the world first laid eyes upon Fallout: New Vegas. It isn't even the most recent Fallout game anymore, but that doesn't stop Radian-Helix Media from perfecting their mod. The mod was originally titled Project Brazil, but has now changed to Fallout: New California. It's also pretty hard to call this just a mod.

New California is going to be bringing a brand new campaign, new locations, new followers, new characters, and its going to include voice acting for all of the new people. The campaign takes place before the events of Fallout: New Vegas, allowing people to get a better understanding of the game's background.

This mod has been in development for close to eight years and hasn't shown any signs of life since 2013. Recently, Radian-Helix came out and made a statement saying that their mod is very close to being fully released to the public. There is no time frame available right now, but we can assume that it won't be another eight year wait. Below is a brief overview of the game, along with a 30-minute video to enjoy!

Vault 18 is at the heart of the California Wasteland high in the San Bernardino Mountains, and its legendary Wasteland Scouts have managed to keep its secrets safe for decades despite the wars raging beyond the great door. In their old age, their adventures have created a new generation to take their place if their rebellious adopted kids survive the threat brewing within their own ranks.

You will face the New California Republic under president Wendell Peterson, the New Reno Mobs Bishop Family, the remnant Shi Clans, The Enclave Leonidas Squadron, the Super Mutant Army, and the legions of bloodthirsty Survivalist Raider Tribes that have allied together in the remote Athens-Tec Uranium Mine off the Long I-15.
