Starting with Days Gone.

GameStop has confidence in the quality of the games they sell. So much so, in fact, that certain games will be given a 100 percent refund if you aren't happy with them in 48 hours.

First reported by CheapAssGamer on Twitter, GameStop is launching the "Guaranteed to Love It" program. The scheme will allow customers to return their game to the store within 48 hours of purchase for a full refund in store credit (not including tax).

This won't be available for any game, however. The program is starting off with the upcoming zombie survival game, Days Gone, releasing on April 26. When a customer purchases Days Gone from a physical store, they will have a special barcode on their receipt that allows them to get full refund credit.

A closer look at the GameStop instruction sheet shows an eligibility date of 4/25 through 4/28. If I'm understanding correctly, any copies of the game purchased after this date will not have the "Guaranteed to Love It" offer.

Program Details
  • Only available for Days Gone at this time.
  • Only available for the Standard Edition of the game.
  • Offer can be declined if the game is not in acceptable condition.
  • Cannot be refunded for cash.
  • Employees are exempt from the offer.
  • Eligible Dates: 4/25-4/28
GameStop has not been doing very well these last couple of years, reporting heavy losses. Perhaps this will help bring them greater loyalty. Granted, this plan is pointless if they don't apply it to the more controversial games.
