Apple's recent Worldwide Developers Conference revealed a number of new hardware and software for the major tech company, including first-time gameplay footage of the upcoming Minecraft mobile game, Minecraft Earth.

Revealed last month, Minecraft Earth is an augmented reality game that boasted the idea of building Minecraft structures in the real world alongside other real-world people. At the time, we only saw pre-rendered footage overtop of recorded live action video.

In the live demo, seen above, two developers show off a small castle, projected onto the real world through their phone screens. They place and delete blocks on the plot of land at the same time, while also displaying their Minecraft avatar. After that, they moved the castle, instead of displaying it in actual size on the stage. From here, they interact with the various animal mobs, revealing a cavern underneath the castle.

This is a much clearer picture as to what Minecraft Earth is all about. We can see how much freedom the player has in their constructions. There's still some unanswered questions. Supposedly, players still need to gather materials by traversing the local area. It's also not clear what places can be structures, or if the player carries their plot of land with them.

The game will be a free-to-play game for iOS and Android, it will not contain loot boxes, but some other form of microtransactions. They'll be holding a private beta sometime this summer. For more information about Minecraft Earth, visit the official website.

As fun as this sounds, I'm wondering how many big-blocky genitalia I'm going to see built around the world.
