Not long ago I have posted an editorial regarding the food culture in video gaming. There are different types of energy foods to keep a gamer fueled throughout the evening and different recipes that resemble cuisine from various games that fans all over the world have replicated. Though most of these particular recipes are found on blogs and other collaborative websites, there is an official recipe book, written by a single author, Holly Green. The project, based on video game-originated cuisine, has been a two year long ordeal, but it has been worth it. The book, "Fry Scores: An Unofficial Guide to Video Game Grub," is currently available on iTunes for $5.99. The book reveals 24 various recipes from different video games.

Holly Green has compiled the 24-recipe list after realizing a lot of video game food blogs were updated rarely or the recipes were far too difficult to make. She had more of a practical list in mind. In other words, she wanted to choose recipes that would suit everyday lifestyles rather than anything too complicated, and thus spent two years improving her recipes until she was satisfied with the results. This is definitely the type of cookbook I would be interested in, especially if the ingredients are inexpensive. You will definite find familiar recipes such as the Sinner's Sandwich from Deadly Premonition, , Yeto's Soup from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, and pork katsu (or tonkatsu) from Cooking Mama 4: Kitchen Magic. Bon Appétit!
