Trine, the fantastical trilogy of side-scrolling adventure games, is back once more with a new game. Developers FrozenByte has released a trailer for Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince.

In the Trine games, the player (and optionally some friends) control one of three characters: a bow-wielding thief, a hearty knight, or an experienced wizard. By combining their different skills and abilities, they have to solve a variety of puzzles and battle dangerous groups of enemies.

After four years, the story continues with a new task for the protagonistic trio: find the missing prince and protect him. But as they continue their search, they discover a much darker truth to the situation.

Aside from the narrative focused trailer, not much was revealed about the new title. The official website, however, boasts about a new, revamped combat system.

Tackle enemies and boss fights with an enriched combat system, fresh challenges, and thrilling action!

Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince will release on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC for $29.99. They are also releasing Trine Ultimate Collection, which has every Trine game (and some extra content) for $59.99. This is a fantastic game to play with friends, we'll be keeping our eyes on this one.
