Frank Ocean to get Grand Theft Auto Radio Station

He's even the DJ.

In the ongoing stream of updates for Grand Theft Auto: Online, we are getting more than just gameplay content. A new radio station has been added to the mix, and it's being DJ'd by Frank Ocean.

Adding new songs is nothing new to the GTA update philosophy. In the four years that GTA:V has been alive, they've frequently updated the radio stations to include new music and artists. Though none have received this degree of treatment. Frank Ocean not only will be part of your music selection, but he will be the DJ of his own station, Blonded Los Santos 97.8 FM.

The Frank-featured station is heavily inspired by his most recent release, Blonde. Prior to Blonde, Ocean found widespread acclaim with Channel Orange. After which he went silent for several years to work on Blonde.

The new radio station will host a number of Frank Ocean's music, as well as tracks by artists such as Lil Uzi Vert, Marvin Gaye, and Aphex Twin.

This update is alongside a major update to GTA: Online, called "The Doomsday Heist," which has the player operating spy cars and jetpacks as they try and save the world.

It sounds to me like GTA is slowly going the same direction that Saint's Row did. Shifting from a serious organized crime game to an open world of shenanigans.
