Fortnite Update Fixes "Dick Bullets" Bug

It's not as obscene as it sounds, I assure you.

Fortnite has released another major update. While its rife with new content, we also are given some gameplay improvements. The biggest change being the resolution of "dick bullets."

The somewhat crass term had popularized with the similar multiplayer game, H1Z1. It's meant to represent a technical issue where bullets from a gun don't "come from" the gun itself but from the center of the character model. Because of this, you had to behave as if the bullets were coming from the player's groin, thus the name. This would cause problems when trying to shoot over ledges that are low enough to be seen over, but tall enough to block your midsection-spawning ammunition. Players were forced to expose themselves further than needed in order to hit their targets.

With the Fortnite update v3.5.2, dick bullets have been fixed, and players can now trust that they'll come from their gun, as God intended. Alongside this patch, a new weapon, the light machine gun, has been added to the gun rotation. The once-temporary 50v50 mode has also returned.

Fortnite is having a double XP weekend, starting today, April 19. The bonus will continue onwards until Sunday, April 22.
