Fortnite Technical Issues Lead Epic to Offer Compensation

So one of the things that makes Epic Game’s Fortnite so popular is that while there’s only one map, it’s constantly being updated with new guns, gear, and of course, cataclysmic events that reshape the face of the map forever. One such event happened yesterday (I’m told), called “The Unvaulting”, which led to a volcano erupting and a place called Retail Row and Tilted Towers being destroyed in the process. I’m also told a rock hit Polar Peak, leaving a large crack in the ice.

Apparently, it was quite the show, but non-players like myself weren’t the only ones to have missed it - apparently a number of dedicated fans also missed the event thanks to technical issues.

But Epic Games is nothing if not benevolent towards it’s players, and as a response, everyone who was on the Unvaluting Playlist is getting an Arcana Glider, which is worth about 1,200 v-bucks. And if you’ve already got said glider, then you just get a flat 1,200 v-bucks for your trouble. So that’s good for them, I guess.

The Unvaulting also sees the return of one of the fan-favorite items from the past, the drum gun. I have no idea what that is but it makes people happy so cool.

All of this is just… cool.
