Will AMC finally have a good game?

Film giant AMC is back into video games one more time. And it's with their biggest franchise, of course. Introducing The Walking Dead: Onslaught, an action-adventure VR game based on the TV show of the same name.

Developed by Survios and announced at UploadVR's E3 VR showcase, The Walking Dead: Onslaught is exactly what you'd expect. You play through the zombie-infested landscape, using a variety of weapons to defend yourself and save others. The locations, people, and weapons all based on the AMC Walking Dead TV show.

Some gameplay footage shows us the in-depth combat system built for zombie killing. While there's your standard array of guns to shoot, players can also decapitate, scalp, punch, and even hold down zombies for lethal close quarters melee attacks.

The Walking Dead: Onslaught will be available for SteamVR and PSVR in Fall of 2019. For more information, visit the game's official website.

As cool as it seems, we are uneasy. The first AMC Walking Dead game was an absolute awkward wreck. Overkill's Walking Dead game was better, but still not great. There has yet to be a good AMC Walking Dead game, so we fear this will be the same.
