E3 2019: No More Heroes 3 Lies About its Title

There's at least one hero left, it seems.

Last we saw Travis Touchdown and the No More Heroes IP was actually not that long ago with Travis Strikes Back, which was an ambitious but ultimately not terribly successful attempt to merge the frantic and risqué action of No More Heroes with the indie games that Suda 51 loves so dearly. When it was released, it was all but confirmed that wed be getting a proper No More Heroes game for the Switch, but technically, the trailer Nintendo showed off at E3 counts as a world premiere.

So lets give it a look.

The latest numbered entry in the No More Heroes series... No More Heroes 3 is coming to Nintendo Switch in 2020!

Travis Touchdown returns to Santa Destroy after a ten-year absence. There he finds a huge artificial island metropolis floating in the sea, and a mysterious flying object hovering high above. Who really is the deadly killer Travis must face off against this time?!

Its maybe not as weird as you might expect, really: other than I guess Traviss Kenshin robot thing making his hair longer and shaving his face on top of coming packed with jetpacks and a rocket launcher. The trailer isnt terribly informative, but the game is looking to be quite a ways away, and frankly I think we all know what to expect from a new No More Heroes game. Nerd jokes, sexual references, and lots of hacking and slashing action.

And I guess molesting cherries.

There's only one other thing we really know, and that is that the game will not be on the PS4, the way No More Heroes 2 made the jump to Sony's console. This one is a true blue Switch exclusive, which probably means we can expect some kind of motion control to play a role. Probably to jerk your sword back into action.

Everything else, though? We'll probably find out before long.
