There's been plenty of talk about PlayStation's next console. Now Xbox is here, bashing through the walls to tell you about their OWN console, Project Scarlet.

Project Scarlet is the current name for Microsoft next gaming console. Prior to the trailer, Phil Spencer stood on stage to explain that they know better now. They know that a gaming console should be the best at doing one thing, and one thing only: playing video games. That was the mindset behind Project Scarlet.

The trailer itself shows a number of engineers and designers talking about their vision for the console. They explain how they want to eliminate load times, take advantage of the custom hardware, and making the full use of ray-tracing, the SDD, and so on.

We don't actually see what the console looks like, unfortunately. They do tell us that they plan for the console to launch in the holiday season of 2020. So about a year and a half from now. The console will also launch with Halo: Infinite as a launch title.

Price was not announced at this time, we'll likely hear more about that sometime next year, perhaps at E3 2020! We will see.
