The world has gone to ruins, the people have gone mad and violent, and the same day is repeating over and over again. Some want to see that it stays that way, others want to bring it to an end. But who will win? Introducing Deathloop.

Announced at the 2019 Bethesda Showcase, Deathloop is a first-person action game from Arkane Lyon, the team that made Dishonored and Prey. The game takes place on the island of Blackreef, where two skilled and almost magical assassins are stuck in an endless loop, killing each other every day in an effort to either break or maintain the cycle.

Deathloop is being advertised as a game with multiple ways of approaching a problem. They also boasted the game's "stunning environments and meticulously designed levels in an immersive gameplay experience." Arkane's past games have done this concept fairly well, so we're pretty confident in their claims.

This isn't the first time loop-based game to be announced at E3. During Microsoft's press event, they revealed 12 Minutes, an interactive thriller of a similar concept.

More details about the game will be released at some point in the future.
