Are you craving both a build-from-scratch game and an RPG adventure? Are you limited to Xbox and/or GamePass? Great news! Dragon Quest Builders 2, the hit town-building RPG, is apparently coming to Xbox Game Pass and Xbox One here soon.
We say apparently because this wasnt exactly announced. The game, developed and published by Square Enix, has appeared on the Microsoft storefront. On the store page, its listed for Xbox and PC. It also includes a button claiming the game will be available on Xbox GamePass, Microsofts game library subscription service.
According to the store page, Dragon Quest Builders 2 will be available on Xbox One and Series X/S, as well as PC, on May 4 for $49.99.
Originally releasing on PS4 and Switch in late 2018, (worldwide in mid 2019), Dragon Quest Builders 2 is a sequel to a spin-off of the acclaimed RPG series of the same name. Featuring all of the style and design of the main series, Builders 2 introduces a new world building and city management mechanic. You play as a young builder, an occupation targeted by an evil organization to prevent developmental progress. After washing ashore an abandoned island, you build, battle, craft, and explore.
The game was highly reviewed on release, with most complements going toward the pleasant gameplay loop. While we havent played it ourselves (we were just busy with other games at the time), we DO have Xbox GamePass. So this is a perfect opportunity with GamePass subscribers to try out a very popular game.
