Of all the times, Devolver Digital's 2018 press event seems like the most fitting time to announce a game about sentient banana-inspired killing sprees. The publisher announced My Friend Pedro, a slow-motion shooter by Deadtoast entertainment.

The player controls a Deadpool-like character as they elegantly dance around a side-scrolling urban environment, shooting a plethora of enemies. Whether its ballet techniques or literally dunking yourself through a basketball hoop, you move about the environment with a lethal grace. Your friend, Pedro, being a talking banana.



My Friend Pedro will release on PC and Nintendo Switch some time in 2019.
