Specifically, he revealed details about the Street Stories, side-quests that can increase your street cred and reputation, while also giving you a chance to explore the world a bit more.
"There’s a couple of layers. There’s a passive layer, which is the vendors, then there’s the STSs, which are the street stories. I think there are around 75 street stories. Then there are minor activities as well. The street stories are like little quests. There’s a story but there’s not, like, advanced cinematic storytelling sequences so much. They’re a way to explore the world and level-up your character…
They’re all custom done. There’s nothing like that’s automatically generated. There are set templates that the guys can use but each one is customized to make them feel unique. The world’s going to be filled with that stuff. It should feel really good."
In that respect, it sounds a lot like the monster hunting missions in the Witcher 3, which could often get insanely in-depth and complicated compared to the side-quests we usually see in video games. And it makes sense those would be coming back, it wouldn’t be like CD Projekt Red to step back from something that worked so well.
And with 75 of them to do? Well, you sure as heck don’t have to worry about running out of things to do. All the more reason to feel the hype.
