Comic Perfectly Represents Overwatch Holiday Disappointment

In the best kind of way.

Of all Overwatch seasonal events, there's no argument that the Christmas one is the worst. I used to call it the "winter holiday" event, but I came to my senses when I realized how much Santa, elves, Rudolph, and Christmas trees steal the show. Anyway, if any Overwatch character represents the Christmas season at all, it's Mei. Mei is pretty much just personified ice and snow, so there's really no contest. I've mentioned before (more than once) that Mei kinda got screwed over here. And apparently, I'm not the only one who thinks so. Check out the comic below from Corpse Run that seems to fully represent the disappointment.

Yep. That's about right.

Yep, Mei's entire costume is just a quick color swap from blue to red. True, she gets a Santa hat, but so did Torbjorn. The difference is that Torbjorn also got Blizzard's full effort in designing a brand new costume. And Tracer, who already got plenty of love in her amazing Summer Games skin, gets some stellar treatment in her elf costume.

I understand I may be beating a dead horse here, but this disappointment does affect me personally. Based on my Overwatch profile, Mei is my second most played character. And to be honest, her default legendary skins kinda blow. Her firefighter skins as well as her yeti hunter ones (which is basically just a bigger parka) just aren't that great.

Anyway, if you like the comic above, be sure to give Corpse Run a closer look. You can see more here.
