With all of the controversy surrounding EA games and loot boxes as a whole, people have grown concerned with all major studios. This led to popular YouTube page, Pretty Good Gaming, making a video remarking on the potential corruption of CD Projekt Red. The studio behind the hit game, The Witcher 3, later remarked on their accusations with their own statement.

Worry not. When thinking CP2077, think nothing less than TW3 huge single player, open world, story-driven RPG. No hidden catch, you get what you pay for no bullshit, just honest gaming like with Wild Hunt. We leave greed to others.

It is understandable why Pretty Good Gaming would be concerned. In an interview with the CD Projekt Red CEO, he states how their upcoming project will be more commercially utilized. Some perceive this statement to mean the implementation of microtransactions.

This led to the studio's Twitter account responding to the video producers reassuring them that they have no need to be concerned with the quality and direction of their games (as seen above).

CD Projekt Red is currently in development of their upcoming Cyberpunk title, CyberPunk 2077. Little else is known about the game outside of the cinematic trailer you can see on the game's webpage. CD Projekt Red has delivered some amazing games in the past, and it would be great to see them continue that trend.
