Okami HD has been hailed far and wide as an amazing, Zelda-esque title featuring a goddess and painting. Since it's initial release, it has been re-released to several consoles in HD, and most recently, it has been ported to Steam. But what about the Switch? Well, it was announced a couple of months ago that Okami HD would eventually be ported to the Nintendo Switch...

But now the day has come. To all Switch players (who may or may have purchased every HD launch of Okami), Capcom has announced the release date of Okami HD for the Switch; the title will be heading to the console on August 9, complete with touchscreen controls.

Those in the US will be receiving a digital release, whereas those in Japan will have access to a collector's edition. It's unfortunate, but maybe with enough hubbub, people may reconsider.
