The Resistance is coming, and players are getting excited. Not just for the Demolition mode or free weapons, but for Prop Hunt.

Sledgehammer Games' Call of Duty: WWII will be running a special event this weekend called The Resistance. This event, starting on January 23, will have a new division, free weapons, double XP, and even the return of the Demolition game mode.

Best of all, the end of the video trailer for the Resistance event teases a Prop Hunt game mode. While in the video we only see a man pass a bucket, which then turns to look at the man, the official Call of Duty website has a proper description of the new mode.

"As an underground Resistance fighter, you must master the skill of stealth. In a fun spin, just for this event, you can put your skills to the test in the Prop Hunt game mode, where players on one team must disguise themselves as everyday items strewn throughout the war zone, while the other team is tasked with tracking them down and destroying them. As a fun party mode, we hope youll enjoy taking a break from the core modes and try Prop Hunt during this limited-time event playlist."

Prop Hunt grew to sizable popularity over the last few years in Garry's Mod, where players were desguised as normal environment objects, while others has to seek them out and shoot them. The catch being that if you shot, and it wasnt a hidden player, you would lose some of your health.

Unfortunately, Prop Hunt will not be introduced alongside the Resistance event, which starts this tuesday. For the week following, Demolition mode will be available, while Prop Hunt will only be playable February 6 to 12, and 20 to 27.

Additional details about Prop Hunt, Demolition mode, and the rest of the Resistance event can be found at the Call of Duty website.
