Call of Duty: Black Ops III Beta for PlayStation 4 Launches this August

Call of Duty: Black Ops III has ignited the hype bonfire with promises of "Jeff Goldblum Technology" (Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare featured "Kevin Spacey Technology," and Ghosts introduced the famous "Dog Technology"), cyborgs, a 1940s film-noir of Zombies that features Jeff Goldblum, and limited, sold-out Collector's Editions that contain mini-fridges.

Recently, during E3, we have also heard that the DLC for the upcoming title will be timed-exclusive for the PlayStation 4, which is a big victory for Sony.

PlayStation 4 users, though, receive an additional perk -- they will be able to play the entirely-exclusive PlayStation 4 beta of Black Ops III multiplayer earlier than everyone else. Recently, the dates for the PlayStation 4 beta have finally been unveiled: the multiplayer beta will be available on August 19 through August 23. Only five days long, but you can't complain about that.

Unless you are far away from your PlayStation 4 during those five days.

However, some of you may be questioning, "When in the world is the Black Ops III beta coming to the PC and Xbox One?" That remains uncertain, unfortunately, but on the lighter side, Activision will announce the beta dates for all the platforms soon, so no one misses out on the experience. Well, almost no one, as the beta will not launch on the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3.

So far, from what is known the Black Ops III beta will be multiplayer, but that is about it -- unknown are the weapon availability, stages, and other options. If you'd want a guaranteed entry into the beta, you can always pre-order a copy, either physical or digital, from retailers.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III will release on November 5, 2015 for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC. Details on the beta will be provided at a later date.
