However, despite EA’s (and their own) best efforts to sabotage themselves, there’s still one game that’s got a moderate amount of hype around it: Dragon Age 4. We know it exists thanks to a 2018 Game Awards presentation, and we know (thanks to a series of interviews) that it was supposed to be a really cool spy thriller that’s been transformed into something more aligned with EA’s values, but other than that we don’t have a whole lot to speculate on.
But that may change, thanks to this new Bioware tweet:
Today marks 10 years of Dragon Age! This year we’re excited to join the community’s party on December 4th and celebrate a decade together in the world we all love. See you on 12/4 for Dragon 4ge Day
12/4 is the 11/7 of the Dragon Age community, a time to celebrate the RPG series they all love so much. Typically, not a whole lot has ever come from the Dragon Age “day”, but if EA or Bioware were looking for a time to reveal more information about Dragon Age 4, which Bioware needs to be a smash hit if they’re going to survive, this would be a pretty opportune moment.
It was speculated that Bioware wouldn’t survive if Anthem did poorly. Thankfully, that speculation proved wrong, but it would be hard to imagine a world where they’re given a second chance if Dragon Age 4 is a flop.
Better give it your all, peeps.
