Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced their next project: a Dragon Ball Z game with a focus on the world.

Now you might be asking "what does that mean?" Unfortunately, I don't know. The announcement was made in a Japanese tweet, translated by the various international Bandai Namco Twitter accounts. The tweet doesn't reveal much about the upcoming title, only a few snippets of unparsable information.

In 2019, the project of a New Game focusing on the World of Dragon Ball Z begins!
And more news coming to DRAGON BALL Fighter Z! The Warrior from Universe 11 is joining the fight!
More information to be revealed at the DRAGON BALL FighterZ World Tour Finals in January 26th ~ 27th

So it's based in the world of Dragon Ball Z, it has "the warrior" from Universe 11, and more information will come later this month.

Universe 11 is one of 12 different universes in Dragon Ball lore. It was parallel to Universe 2. It also features Team Universe 11 a team presented by Vermoud, Cae and Marcarita with the gathering of the strongest warriors from Universe 11 so they can participate in the Tournament of Power.

Current speculation implies that this will be another action RPG similar to Dragon Ball Xenoverse, but this could not be confirmed at this time. We know it will be an action RPG, that's what the image they posted says. But it's a broad description that could encompass a large variety of different kinds of games. All we can do is wait for the Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour Finals to find out more.
