Apex Legends will Get More Titanfall Content in Season 9

Apex Legends continues to be popular, even if it hasn’t quite breached the heights of glory and fame that Fortnite has reached. It’s secured itself a solid second place in the world of Battle Royales, and unless it starts pushing out skins and having weird crossover events, it’s doubtful it’ll ever manage to break forward to number one.

Speaking of being number two, though, for many people, Apex Legends will forever be second place to Titanfall, the series from which Apex Legends spun off from. And while Apex Legends will occasionally dabble in the broader Titanfall story — for example, alluding to the fact that both Wrathe and Bloodhound were once Pilots, or having the cleaning robots from Titanfall 2 all over the place — so far we haven’t gotten the stuff we actually like from the game: namely, wall running and titans.

That may or may not change in the future, though, as in a recent online panel hosted by BrownGirlGamerCode, Apex Legends's Game Director Chad Grenier assured viewers that more Titanfall stuff was, indeed, coming to Apex Legends. Even if it's not going to be the titans we all so desperately crave.

"Next season, Season 9, you're actually going to see a ton of Titanfall coming back into the game in one way or another. So, I've told some people before, if you're a Titanfall fan hang on for Season 9.”

That’s vague, but promising: right now early speculation suggests that this Titanfall content will be the inclusion of a character found hidden in the game’s database, a fellow named Blisk — a character from Titanfall 2 who would have the ability to run on walls and create an auto-titan that would fight for him (although he couldn't pilot it). But that’s all just speculation right now.

In the meantime, we’ll just have to wait till season 9.
