Arguably the most desired game from PlayStation this year is Marvel's Spider-Man. Thankfully, that's exactly what we got.

Insomniac Games revealed new gameplay, dropping our web-slinging hero into a full-on prison break, confirming a number of characters in the process.

It starts with Electro, who has broken in the Raft, the local supermax prison, to bust out everyone. This includes past Spider-Man enemies like Rhino, Scorpion, Vulture, and Negative Man. We watch Spidey take on waves of wily inmates, with each of these super villains interrupting him ever so often. From web-swinging chases, close combat, to special events, the trailer gives us a bit of everything.

Spider-Man will launch on the PlayStation 4 on September 7.
