Amazon Will Be Taxing All 45 States as of April 1, 2017

I know it isn't gaming news, per se, but it affects our gaming purchases for sure.

I know this isn't exactly gaming news, but this piece of news does affect our gaming purchases unless you don't happen to be an Amazon customer.

But who are we kidding? More than likely, you are.

While Amazon has already imposed state sales tax in some areas, like New York for awhile, other areas haven't been touched. But that is about to change.

On April 1, 2017 - and no, this is not some prank - Amazon will complete its sales tax collection move, as it will collect sales tax in Hawaii, Idaho, Maine, and New Mexico. Amazon, however, will not charge sales tax in Alaska, Delaware, Oregon, Montana, or New Hampshire.

While many of us already experience the weight of sales tax from Amazon, it's still a little sad to see Amazon no longer having this advantage. However, there are still those 20 percent pre-order game deals that we can take advantage of.
