One of the most beloved PC games in history is making an epic return, and this time, it will be playable in glorious 4k UHD on PC and Xbox One! This announcement from Microsoft came out of absolutely nowhere, and it is more than welcome.

Age of Empires: Definitive Edition will feature new and improved 4k resolution, new zoom levels, improved gameplay, Xbox live multiplayer, and a fully remastered soundtrack with a real life orchestra and a plethora of bug fixes to improve upon the original game. Age of Empires is certainly a childhood favorite game for millions of gamers, and we'll be able to enjoy this 1997 classic once more with beautiful modern hardware.

Although Age of Empires II HD was a step in the right direction, Age of Empires: Definitive Edition seems to take remastering to a whole other level to finally deliver us the classic Age of Empires experience, but bigger and better than ever before.

So are you excited for this Classic to make its return?
