Hopefully, players can now play more than just a couple matches.

Seems like no recent video game release can catch a break when it comes to technical mayhem. Driveclub arrived with a plethora of online issues, preventing the free version to be released. Assassin's Creed Unity emerged with plenty of game breaking glitches to frustrate the player. And now we have Halo: Master Chief Collection, which has not done much better. While this was not unexpected, this Xbox One exclusive game was released with a plague of bugs: matchmaking issues, objective markers not appearing in campaign, constant disconnects, sound issues, random controller disconnects, crashing, and much more. Even downloading Halo: Nightfall is a bit of an ordeal, as the option to watch these CG episodes lies in the extras of H:MCC, but still requires a 25-number code (snug somewhere inside the case) to input in the Live store. These issues can be considered a little unsettling, for this widely anticipated game feels a little rushed at release. However, there is a good deal of fortunate news that will surely bring tears of happiness to fans everywhere.

Today, 343 Industries will release their new content update for the game, which addresses a lot of these bugs and focuses on the issues found in matchmaking. The matchmaking flow has been improved, and the stability of the lobby has been increased, the UI has been improved, and each game in the collection has been delivered some TLC. The patch will be released sometime mid to late afternoon PST. More than likely this update won't fix everything, but hopefully these fixes will be able to make the game far more enjoyable than it was on release day.
