Except no pink Darth Vader. May the tears be with you.

Well today has mainly been all about Star Wars. We have recently received a new trailer and the official release date, which we covered earlier today.

Just so you know, a little more information has been squeezed out of DICE. DICE has confirmed that players will be able to "create their own play-style," so no one will feel restricted to one class. In other words, no classes whatsoever. You can choose whatever weapon, gear, and ability you'd like: the battlefield is your oyster!

Here is what will be included in the game: 4 iconic planets, with more than 8 maps to play with. The map sizes will range from large to small, which will complement the various game modes.

Missions will be featured, which allow players to play solo or with bots online or offline. Missions will be also be available in local split-screen, and dogfights are to be expected.

When you play as a soldier, you are able to switch between 1st and 3rd person PoV whenever.

Additionally, players can look forward to playing as Darth Vader and Boba Fett, and in terms of visuals, the game will run at 60 FPS on consoles, but the resolution remains uncertain.

Finally, not only will gear options be diverse, but character options will follow suit. You can choose between female and male Stormtroopers, both of which are fully customizable... within reason of course.

According to DICE General Manager Patrick Bach:

"You can't do it in crazy ways. You can't have a pink Darth Vader. You want the Stormtroopers to look like Stormtroopers."

Aw, but I wanted my fluffy flamingo pink Darth Vader...
