Fans are buzzing about the first paid expansion to Splatoon 2, Octo Expansion. At this year's E3 event, not only were we given more information on the DLC, but we also learned precisely when it'll be available.

Splatoon 2 producer Hisashi Nogami talked a bit about the game and its upcoming expansion at the conclusion of the Splatoon 2 World Championships. At that time, he also announced that it will be available today (June 13)!

Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion is a single player campaign that drops the player into the role of Agent 8, an Octoling who has to escape an underground facility and make their way to Inkopolis. Players will have 80 new single-player missions and will be able to unlock online Octoling options and new in-game gear by completing them.

Octo Expansion is available for $19.99 from the Nintendo eShop.
