Pokémon Mystery Dungeon has always been a successful rogue-like series, selling over 13 million copies worldwide. In the franchise, players venture through various dungeons as their beloved Pokémon, gaining the upper-hand on opponents and helping people and Pokémon alike. If damaged or inflicted with status effects, Pokémon can always chow down on berries and other items to heal.

The best part of the Mystery Dungeon series is the fact that you are able to observe the lives and interactions of Pokémon as the Pokémon during their adventures. Some of the Pokémon stories can even be downright sad.

In other words, the franchise answers the question of, "How do Pokémon live and interact with each other?"

It has been a couple years since the release of the last Mystery Dungeon, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity, but Nintendo is now ending the dry spell with today's announcement of Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon.

So what makes this title exactly super? Well, it could be due to the accompaniment of Legendary and Mythical Pokémon during the adventure. Though in Gates to Infinity, you could befriend several Legendary Pokémon, but it seems that this time around, more Legendary and Mythical Pokémon will arrive sooner to join your side and save the world.

The only image we have received thus far is actually the logo, so Nintendo is keeping this one on total lock-down for a bit. The only tip we are getting?

"Players can look forward to even greater, randomly created dungeons that change each time they enter."

Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon has been confirmed for North America in late 2015 and Europe in early 2016.
