New GoG Sale Focuses On Their Unique Titles

Still not getting paid by GoG, but I'm open to the idea.

You know me, ladies and gentlepeeps, I have the biggest weakness in the world to Steam's lesser-known competitor, Good Old Games. So when anything regarding them slips into my feed, I get obligated to say something about it--in this case, though, my obligation stems less from my love of GoG and more for my love of you--for how else would you know GoG is holding a special sale right now where some of their games are nearly 80% off?!

...God, I feel cheap.

A-anyway! It’s called the “Only on GoG” Sale, and it highlights the many unique titles that are currently only being sold over Good Old Games! From the promo page itself:

“Across the years, we've tracked down and recovered numerous gaming classics - those lost to time but never quite forgotten. We've tested, tweaked, and tested some more to get them up and running on your computers, free of the all-consuming hassle of virtual machines and emulators. We've done our best to deliver bonus goodies: manuals, booklets, and all the little things that gave us a sense of heft and ownership so many years ago.”

Indeed, the thing that made GoG so cool in the first place--the fact that it was an archive of sometimes forgotten gems revived in the modern era--is being highlighted with sales that span some genre classics such as Warhammer, Star Trek, and Witcher 3, because of course they’re going to put The Witcher 3 on sale. But still, 50% off is a great chance for people who haven’t gotten to experience the ‘game of the year’ to catch up with the rest of the gaming world.

So, yeah. That’s happening. Buy something if you want. Don’t if you don’t. I’m not your mother, I can't make you do jack.
