Just Cause 3 Possibly Confirmed For 2015

Just Cause 3 is a title that has been sitting in a certain category of games of which includes Half Life 3, Portal 3, Left 4 Dead 3, etc where rumors are constantly being made of its release but none of these rumors can ever be confirmed until recently. With the sudden success of the Just Cause 2 multiplayer mod which was released by a group of independent modders available to download on steam 4 years after the game's release it made people wonder if Avalanche Studios would consider creating a third installment of the game where they could have multiplayer in itself available for gamers of all platforms to play instead of just PC.

Christofer Sundberg, founder of Avalanche, has had an "Unannounced Sandbox Action Game" listed on his linked in profile for a while now. It states that it is a "New installment of a very well known series" and it states that the game is set for completion in 2015 on next-gen consoles. This is what most assume to be Just Cause 3 being that it is their most well known series. It would make sense for them to complete the trilogy on a next gen console as they released their first Just Cause during the era of Xbox and Ps2, then their second on 360 and Ps3, and now hopefully their third on Xbox One and PS4.

There is of course a lot to speculate being that Avalanche has managed to get a hold of various game titles in the past few years including Mad Max and The Hunter so this  "Unannounced Sandbox Action Game" could possibly be the return of a different beloved series. Still many things point to Just Cause 3 coming soon as the studio recently bought the rights to the name Just Cause 4 which shows that Sundberg intends for the series to continue.
