Here's some good news for all of you turned based space strategy game enthusiasts as the game Approaching Infinity is scheduled to go on sale to coincide with The 2015 Interational Roguelike Developers Conference on Saturday, May 30 at 10:00am thru Sunday, May 31 at 4:00pm.

This year the conference is being held in Atlanta, Georgia at the Georgia Institute of Technology and of course will feature the Approaching Infinity Designer & Developer Bob Saunders as a main speaker. There are still tickets on sale and they can be purchased through their Eventbrite page here. The event will also be broadcast via Twitch.tv and will feature topics like procedural content generation which is a hot topic for developers at the conference this year.

As for the game Approaching Infinity and the sweet deal you can get in on, simply go to their Gamers Front game page and you'll be able to purchase the game for $10.00 vs the normal $39.95 price it goes for. The sale will run through June 5. Curious as to what the game is about? Here's an summary and screen shot;

In Approaching Infinity, each game grants you an entirely new universe, allowing for unlimited replayability. Designed for both casual and experienced players of the rogue-like genre, tool tips, contextual commands, a tutorial, and a sensible UI all help to make this game highly accessible.

Game Industry News rated the game 4 out of 5 stars and stated the following as well;

"But if you know what you're getting into with this type of game, Approaching Infinity is a landmark for the genre, and well worth the investment."

While I haven't played a turn based strategy game in awhile (Rome Total War being the last), this looks like it might be intriguing for any Strategy fan out there.
