| Spore had the potential to be such a great game, its just such a shame that they stripped it bare before the release so that multiple expansions could be released with all the origional content in them. Many people blame EA for this but I think MAXIS are more responsible, because it was their responsibility to deliver the game they promised. I disagree about Tiberian Sun though I think that it was a very good game for when it came out although I did prefer the sequal, I feel that the newest RA3 was more of a let down, even though it was still a good game I just though it was not as good as its predecessors. |

| Tiberian Sun was an epic let down. Very big hype and too much over thinking IMO. Halo 2 is not a flop. If you merely think about the multilayer game play/game types it brought, that alone makes it not a flop! There are many things with RA3 that I wasn't happy with, but I would hardly say flop....the game is just very different in comparison to the traditional CNC look and feel. |

| There are 2 games in this list, Amped 3 and Halo 2, that the only reason you've got them listed as a flop, was because YOU didn't like them. Your f****** articles are biased as f***. | |

I will give you that on how Halo 2 brought better online play in match making but I was referring to game play. Sure, we got dual wielding but truthfully, it isn't a whole lot different than a great and well positioned AR attack from Halo 1. You cannot deny the fact that we played Halo 1 a great deal while Halo 2 was out because the game play wasn't that improved. As for RA3, I enjoy the game, it's different in some ways but I don't think it's gone away from the RA2 feel, if anything, it has kept it with the hokey/animated feel and of course the great/funny cut scenes. |

| And what the f***, SPORE was a FLOP? Are you F***ing KIDDING? The only reason it really had any BIG issues was because of the DRM associated with it. Tons of people played that crap still. | |

| Guys, you're missing the point. I did not state anywhere that these were not popular games, I have posted the games that "failed to deliver" on certain aspects of what they promised. Maybe I shouldn't use the term "flop", how about "stumbled in regard to planned features"? | |
| Posted by: rewted | 03:20 PM - Apr 07, 2009 |
| Then you need to change the title because "FAILED TO DELIVER" implies FLOP. | |

| Spore was a giant flop, I was part of a fan site for a number of years and the game was such a faliure that within a week or two the site had died because of the poor quality of the game and how bad it was. Spore was meant to appeal to all but it was so dumbed down that hardcore players regretted wasting money and only the market of small ignorant children aged 8-12 who had no idea about the game prior to release liked. | |

| And for the record have you noticed that the only people debating this topic are people that are Admins / Mods on it? So much for generating traffic! And you know I'm fucking right about this, only because YOU hated them are they considered a "flop"... you're one man standing against an army of people who could prove you more wrong than I can. I hardly played any of the games because I'm more of a PC gamer than anything. |

Your fucking articles are biased as fuck. I missed this post. Clearly you haven't been around and noticed the WTF statements from people mad at certain pieces of Halo 2. And good God, don't even get me started on Amped 3. There are countless forum threads out there crying for Amped 2 gameplay. An example: http://www.gamespot.com/pages/forums/show_...pic_id=26538949 I'm sure I could find more but it's just from my recollection of scouring the Internet for Amped 4 references that I stumbled across a ton of Amped 3 hate. And Kevin, you have no room to talk, you hated Amped. QUOTE And for the record have you noticed that the only people debating this topic are people that are Admins / Mods on it? So much for generating traffic! Kevin, look at it this way, how many sites do you go to that have articles or news pieces? Out of all of them, how many do you leave comments on? Typically most don't leave comments, they lurk. Hell, I do it on half the sites I frequent. You don't have access to the traffic logs, I do and they do show traffic that is growing. Otherwise, how would I be getting affiliation requests, lan postings, etc? Think about it. These things take time to ferment, it's not an overnight thing. Anyway, back to the topic guys... |

| Yes, I hated every bit of it throughout all 3 pretty much, it felt very cheap and poorly made, but my opinion wouldn't get in the way of writing a non-biased article. Kinda like GP eh, takes 6 years to "ferment" (and it still hasn't)...this site has been online how long and hasn't done so? |

Who says it has to be non-biased? That's the point of oped, it's opinion! Also, most of these kind of articles are bias in some fashion, they kind of have to be. You're always going to upset someone out there because they liked it while someone else didn't, just the way it is. And I wasn't deleting, I was merging, they were getting confusing. |

| Some bias is expected, being completely assinine (sp?) and way off in every aspect, so much in fact that multiple people with differing opinions would even call you out on it......is not expected nor desired. | |

Halo 2 is the only game that is up for debate in that regard, the others clearly had problems and again, I didn't say they were flops in the popularity contest. Please get that through your head! |

| I was a PC gamer for the longest time, so I started into console gaming awhile after Halo2 had been released. I played it, loved it, but didn't do any online matches, nor did I play Halo 1, so I can't give a fair opinion. However, Spore seemed like a real let down. I think everyone had high hopes and they dragged the production a little too long, I lost interest, before it came out. You can certainly tell it was a game dominated by 11 year olds, as the countless youtube videos of giant penis creatures will attest. I'm not going to cry and pout over the meaning of "Failed to Deliver", but I think it is safe to say these games had promise in a lot of areas, but there were a number of areas where they didn't meet expectations, or regressed from previous versions. |

Exactly! I wished some of these games had been better in "those" areas. They were strong in some, weak in others. ... and to Kevin: QUOTE I hardly played any of the games because I'm more of a PC gamer than anything. For the record, 3 of the 5 games listed are PC. |
