So will the world end? If so, what do you plan on doing the days leading up to the end? :)

My Dad keeps telling me to "have a plan" and wants me to setup a spot for "the family to meet". I've been getting this a lot lately, lol... I guess being prepared is better than not being prepared because who knows, some crazyness could happen but it would probably not be the end of the world but more so the end of our normal every day lives perhaps?

Assuming it's not just an economical collapse... buy guns, ammo, and food... and a large powerful truck.

Yeah, like items that you can store for a very long duration. Even seeds and such to plant.

Yes I have seen the film hehe. I guess I will just be running around. It will make me feel like i have some sort of chance of living instead of sitting at home waiting and feeling helpless. =)

It's interesting how the Mayan's predicted that the world would end at this particular date. I think it's complete crap though. I just hope that there isn't some coincidental natural event (like the recent earthquakes in Japan) on that date, otherwise people will start claiming that god 'forewarned us' about it...when the mayan's were wiped out with one of the primary reasons being that they were 'savage' and unchristian.

Thats what I read and also watched in Zeitgeist. I saw a facebook post the other day about how all these natural events are adding up on the 11th of the month they happen and that is is "God". So I think that people are already starting to say "god forewarned us" lol.

Not that I am trying to argue or start a debate because really i don't have a clue who the people are behind the scenes but what makes you say that it is made by "Whack jobs"? I guess I am just curious to your opinion.

Googly google goo.

It's a utopian idea that I believe will end in mass suicide and human "cleansing" by cybernetic AI etc... That's what I see it going to.

Sigh... why does this always turn into religion or AI... I believe what we'll see is an environment that is more like Book of Eli (granted that was religious, but I'm just depicting the scenery). I believe it will be kill or be killed, all major government will disband, law enforcement and military will be gone.

Guess I'd better find a pre-OBDII car with a top of the line carburated fuel delivery system, and some extra sheet metal and kevlar rags, and lots of phone books, so I can ride in DIY armored-car style.
