That really depends. If you are unable to connect to certain gaming services, then it can be very useful. Personally, I've never had the need for it but I can see why some might.

;) I've used it to play DOW with a friend and it Never fails... we decided that all the BS talk in the lobby was too much. Personally I really find it useful for games that I don't have an Online account for... or for playing Iso files. online.

I agree on this, playing older titles for sure is good!

I've never heard of this software, I'm assuming it is a sort of subnet-bridging software so you can find WAN games in the LAN tab? Or is it like the old Mplayer or what?

Mplayer, that takes me back, basically, you set up a network on Hamachi, which other users can join [given they have a password] once connected, it's like being part of normal LAN, but over Interwebs. you can join your friends lan game of warcraft 3 or starcraft, works with UT and c&c 3, amongst other games.

Sweet ass, that prevents a whole lot of headache when finding players and dealing with cheating.

I'm not sure it is much of a deterant for cheating. Actually, it would be easier for cheaters to get away with something since there's no control, but it also goes with saying that your records don't count there either. :P

I don't think you got what I said, most people you would play with on that kind of network, unless they're random people from the internet, won't cheat...mostly because you know them.

If UT04 wasn't being such a dick I'd play but it never wants to accept my key, which I have a legitimate one.
