I believe I'll have to finally check this out. I've thought about starting up a Gamerz Unite lan for awhile now but never had time to do it but wouldn't mind getting in on something with someone. What could you use help with?

As of right now, we are still planning everything out. I have contacted just about every computer gaming company known to man requesting sponsorship and have already put the down payment for the conference room. I believe we will need a bit of help setting everything up (running cables, setting switches down, etc) a day or so before the event, but most of all we need everyone to help advertise the LAN in any forum, message board, or even word of mouth. I will have some flyers printed up here in a week or so and will start putting them around North Texas also. Registration is open and there are around 15 seats left so be sure to register, but with the way things are looking, it looks like I will be opening up the second room at the hotel for more people.

Message me if you have any other questions, you can always message me or email me if you have any thoughts or ideas you would like to throw at the LAN party.

I just registered on the site and I sent you another e-mail. :) So I was thinking I could host a Command & Conquer 2v2 tourney with the 2 teams getting a prize... I'm still trying to decide whether it will be a Zero Hour or cnc3 tourney. And maybe a L4D/L4D2 tourney?

ZH or CnC 3 would be fun. I'm better at ZH but either would be fun to get other folks to play against hah. Left 4 Dead tourney sounds kinda meh, I'd rather it was a proper multiplayer fragfest like Quake3 style, or Battlefield or something...hmm. UT2k4? Hah! I'm not very good at twitch games any more though....

maybe even a BF3 tourney of some sort, depending on how hard it would be to find an empty server to host one on or something like that....? Though it would be more of team thing than a single person so Im not sure that's a good idea.

We have a Quake Live and Unreal Tournament 3 already in place for the LAN. The Quake Live tournament is 1v1 and the Unreal Tournament 3 is FFA, so that should be fun. If you are into Starcraft 2 then we also have a Starcraft 2 1v1 tournament happening, we should start sign ups sometime tonight or tomorrow.

Edit - Tournaments can be found here

Due to events beyond our control, we have been forced to find a new location for our November edition of Peace Love and Rockets. Do not fear, we haven't moved it too far, but we need to make sure that everyone spreads the word! The new location is at the Sterling Hotel in Dallas! The address at this location is 1055 Regal Row Dallas, TX 75247-4404, you can see the hotel right off Hwy 114(CORRECTION)! We are sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause. If you are unable to make the event then please contact us at info@peacelovandrockets.org to cancel your registration, (if you pre-paid, we will refund you in full). We are working our hardest to keep this event alive and kicking and are very happy that the Sterling Hotel has worked with us to keep this event going. At this time we very happy to announce that we are opening registration to 90 people, so anyone that was on the wait list previously is now automatically registered for the LAN! Due to the high volume of requests for more seating, we will be releasing seats that were previously reserved at 1 p.m. ( 2 hours after registration opens), so make sure that you get there earlier than later. If you have or are going to pre-pay for the LAN, your seat will be saved throughout the entire event! We encourage everyone to come out at or after the 1pm cut off and try to get a spot at this amazing LAN if you are stuck on the wait list. On other news, we have cancelled the Quake Live tournament, we are sorry for those of you that were looking forward to this and we hope to bring it back at our next event. We have posted the map list for the Starcraft 2 1v1 tournament which you can find here. We encourage everyone to sign up for the two current tournaments that we have up, and who knows...we might have a secret tournament that might pop up in the middle of the event so be ready! At this time, our focus game of Battlefield 3 might be a bit hard to accommodate, while we are working our hardest to keep it playable at the LAN, limitations are arising at the new location. We will update you on our focus game as soon as we know more information. Please remember that the venue has changed to the Sterling Hotel in Dallas, the Holiday Inn Express in Addison is no longer the location. Please inform everyone that is interested in attending this event. Any questions about the changes or the event please email info@peaceloveandrockets.org. Thanks - PLR Staff
