honestly i am not sure they might catch you up to speed with what happened in D1 and D2. In order to understand Diablo 2 you had to play Diablo 1. I never played Diablo 1 but I had my bf explain to me what happened in one so i could understand what happened in D2.

Yea my brother and I are waiting for D3 to be released. I remember we spent countless hours playing D2 over and over. I think the highest I got though was only into the 40 or 50's with a Paladin. My brother always played with the barbarian and actually reached 90 something.

I've never touched the game. Funny that I remember back in Quakecon 2008 walking around seeing people's desktop backgrounds with the D3 logo and them saying "can't wait till it comes out"... uh yeah, 3 years later.

You should try to broaden your horizons and try some more different games. ;)

Diablo 2 is an RPG game which was hack n' clash type, a bunch of different skills and spells your character learned as you leveled and a bunch of monsters to kill, with some really cool hard bosses, and of course, lots of cool weapons, armor and items to hunt for. It's 10 years old along with its expansion, but still fun.

Other more modern games similar in play-style but with nicer 3D graphics are Dungeon Siege 2 (2005?) , and more alike, Titan Quest and its expansion Immortal Throne (2007?). They both make for some really fun LAN play. ;) I tried both games for a while and with LAN it definitely is a good way to spend hours in front of a PC. :)

Bashing infidel demons and devils is always fun, you know that. Now if they would just incorporate a reliable repeater rifle with clip magazines as one of the weapon drops, I think Blizzard would gain about 1 billion new players...
