Recently, Jordan Mathewson, a gamer that goes by the handle of Kootra was playing with friends when he began to hear odd sounds coming from inside his building where he lives.  He then made the following comments to his teammates;

“Uh oh, this isn’t good, they’re clearing rooms. What in the world? I think we’re getting swatted.”

Shortly after, a heavily armed SWAT team burst through his door and threw him to the ground! The raid actually took place at the home and business location of his gaming business, The Creatures LLC.  In the video below, you can skip to about the 6:49 mark in the video and the action begins;

Once Kootra was thrown to the ground, an officer can be heard asking “What about this is funny to you?”

“What? I’m not doing anything that is funny,” he responds.

From what we can tell, the Police Officers were searching the office buildings at West Mineral Avenue and Broadway in Greenwood Village, CO, due to a report of an active shooter. Fortunatly they found no evidence of a shooting. It turns out that the call was a hoax from a landline!

Apparantly, in recent years, various hackers and other gamers have been anonymously reporting fake hostage situations, shootings, and other crimes designed to send military-esque police units, like SWAT teams, to unsuspecting people at their homes.  It's uncertain whether these are pranks designed to bother another gamer or if they are meant to show how far the Police have come in violating our rights?

A twitter account for @ScrewPain apparently claimed responsibility for the raid!

It seems as if @ScrewPain might have been the one who pulled the personal information and made the call!

So what do you think should be done to someone who makes these kind of calls?
