The season of scares may have passed, but the horrors last all year long! A new update has been revealed for the popular multiplayer horror game Phasmophobia, introducing voodoo dolls and summoning circles.

You might not have known this, but Phasmophobia has its own public trello board for development. From here, we can see how development is progressing, whats been released, and what they plan on working on. Recently (spotted by PCgamesN), the board was updated to add the Christmas [REDACTED] Update to the In Progress section.

Examining the card reveals some information about what it will contain.

New Cursed Possessions:
- Tortured Voodoo Doll
- Summoning Circle

New Ouija Board questions
and more

Up until this point, much of the games main gameplay focus has been on observing a ghost and recording information. The active nature of some of these items, especially the summoning circle, imply that this will introduce a way for players to instigate the spirit. At the moment, how these new features will work remains a mystery, but were excited to see what direction the developers go with it.

Phasmophobia has been churning out updates and additional content pretty regularly since it exploded into popularity late last year. Its nice seeing the developers remain passionate about the project, even after the peak of its fame. And costing less than $15, its quickly becoming one of the best deals on Steam in the current time.
