Starbreeze has delayed the console release of Overkill's The Walking Dead game for consoles.

The game was originally set to release in February of 2019 for consoles. The publisher recently announced a delay, however, citing that they are "currently evaluating and reviewing [its] performance." They assure us that "further information regarding the future release will be announced at a later date."

Starbreeze and Overkill's The Walking Dead have seen a couple of hardships as of late. The game sold underwhelmingly on PC when it released last November. This prompted quick discounts for the game and a statement by Starbreeze regarding cost-cutting.

Starbreeze has been investing hard in what they have. Unfortunately, little return has been seen on these investments. The firm has posted losses in the last few quarters, resorting to selling shares to help finance what they already are working on. The CEO even jumped ship not long ago.

It's not clear when they will have the console version of Overkill's The Walking Dead ready, nor what will come of the company after that. Stay tuned.
