I'd advise that you be sitting for this shocking news from Nintendo. The Switch now has wireless USB headphone support, and that's not all!

While this news isn't THAT exciting, it is a good step forward for the Switch. In the Switch System update 4.0.0, there is a number of improvements that have been made to system and gameplay functionality. Notable changes include wireless USB headphone functionality, and the ability to now record gameplay from the Switch itself.

Heres the full list of changes in the 4.0.0 update:
  • Capture video on select games - hold down the capture button during gameplay to do this. This records up to 30 seconds, can be trimmed later, and you will be able to post the clips to social media. Currently compatible with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, ARMS, and Splatoon 2.
  • 12 new user icons from Super Mario Odyssey and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
  • Transfer user and save data to another system in the user's settings page
  • Pre-purchase and pre-load functionality for certain upcoming game releases.
  • The news channel has a new look, and you can now unfollow certain feeds.
  • Match software version with a group - You can set a local group to have matching software versions between you for better compatibility.
There is also a few under-the-hood improvements made for a smoother Switch expirience.

This update is already live and can be downloaded and installed from you Switch System Settings. I look forward to seeing the flood of gameplay clips on social media.
