The Nintendo Labo was a quirky and cute idea to come out of the Japanese company. It offered a selection of interactive constructions (called Toy-Cons) that were nothing short of that "Nintendo fun" the company was so well known for. Now, with the conclusion of the Nintendo Labo Creators Contest, we see this potential for hands-on happiness at its finest.

There were three categories, and three winners in each, totaling nine winners.

The first category was "Best Decorated Toy-Con." This favored creativity over cleverness, as those with unique and visually appealing designs were chosen for this class. The winners were as follows.
  • The Legend of Music, a fully decorated Zelda-themed piano.
  • No Grown-Ups Allowed!, a treehouse build, complete with hammock.
  • Jurassic PaRC, a modification of the RC Toy-Con to look like a dinosaur.
The second category was "Best Toy-Con Mod Using the Toy-Con Garage." This highlighted the potential found in the Toy-Con Garage, a feature that allowed users to create custom settings using programming knowledge. Here's who won.
  • Analog Clock with Alarm, a well-made clock system.
  • LABO Fix-It, imagine is Bop-it was against a friend.
  • Creature Says! Listen to the Creature!, another Bop-it style game.
The last category was "Best Original Invention Using Toy-Con Garage." This was a fun combination of ingenuity and creativity. The winners in this category were chosen for creating something truly unique.
  • Labo Tea Time, a "tea management" game.
  • Solar-powered Cardboard Accordion, I'll let you guess what it is.
  • Dont Break The Line!, an arcade game that takes a quarter and gives smartees.
Congratulations to all of the winners. If you want to see the examples themselves, complete with videos, check out Nintendo's winners post.
