Through the use of smartphones, the Shaolin Temple in the Henan Province of China has been catching up with the modern world. However, the temple's leader, Shi Yongxin acknowledges the laziness and limit of mind that using them can cause, so he prohibits his temple from playing games or watching TV on them. Nevertheless, the phones allow them to stay interconnected, and gives them the capability to keep up with the world outside the temple.

All the better for them! No reason you can't bring old traditions and modern nuances together. If I can screw around and browse the internet in my spare time, they should be able to as well. The games thing kinda sucks, though, and even though I've been in that situation of playing too many games, just takes temperance!

Welcome to the internet, monks. Be careful of the trolls.
