Command & Conquer 4 Announcement Imminent

According to a posting over at www.cncden.com, it would appear as if an announcement for the next Command and Conquer game is right around the corner in Command & Conquer 4, possibly sometime next month. It's been slightly over 2 years since Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars came out so we're unsure as to if this would really be the next installment in the cnc (Tiberium) universe. Many have speculated that the next cnc would take place in the Generals universe which would follow the logical order of things.

Below is an except of said speculation;

Blbpaws has informed me of a post he made on CNC Generals World concerning news about an official EA survey sent to some C&C fans on Friday. A question in the survey strongly suggested that the next C&C game, C&C 4, would be a "RPG-like player progression, persistent in both single player and Multiplayer modes, co-op play, and new stylized, live-action cinematics."

According to German C&C website C&C Inside, Command & Conquer 4 could possibly be unveiled to world as early as July via GameStar magazine, and specifically on July 29th.

I'm not real sure I like the idea of an RPG based cnc receiving the title of cnc4. I guess we'll wait and see if this is just some silly rumor or if there was actually some truth to a cnc based MMO.
