Theres no denying that Behavior Interactive doesnt listen to their fanbase, we guess. The devs of Dead by Daylight have, in a surprising turn of events, announced an upcoming dating simulator based on the popular asymmetrical horror game. Introducing Dead by Daylight: Hooked on You.

No, were not kidding. Dead by Daylight: Hooked on You is real. In it, the player engages in a bright and sunny beach experience alongside various Dead by Daylight characters. The four characters present will be the Trapper, the Wraith, the Huntress, and the Spirit. Each one retains a semblance of their original design, but has otherwise undergone a heavy degree of beautification. And of course, they are all romantically available.

Behavior Interactive didnt do this alone, however. The spin-off game was made in collaboration with Psyop. If you can recall that Colonel Sanders dating sim that KFC released a few years ago, Psyop did that, as well. In that regard, we can expect a similar experience: sharp, vibrant graphic art with a humorous visual novel story.

All of this appears to be the culmination of an ongoing joke among the Dead by Daylight community: theyre thirsty. Often done in jest (but sometimes not), folks would express romantic interest in the various in-game killers. It was often seen as a funny interaction, given their grotesque appearance.

It might not stop here, either. According to a Q&A the developers did after the reveal, they explained that if the response is big enough and enough consumer interest, theyre open to expanding on the dating sim with a wider selection of characters. Our guess is on the Nurse, but weve got our pinkies crossed for the Clown.

Dead by Daylight: Hooked on You will release on Steam at some point this Summer. Details like price and specific release date have yet to be revealed. You can sign up for updates on the spin-off games official website.
