An indie collaboration is surely brewing! Studio MDHRs Cuphead collides with Mediatonics Fall Guys as a special costume set!
Announced on Twitter (as Fall Guys often does), two new costumes will be releasing in the popular battle royale game show style multiplayer game.
On February 24, a hat, top, and bottom based on the Cuphead design will be released in the store for 5 crowns each. On February 27, the same treatment will be applied to Mugman, the optional player 2 character. There will also be a special emote available, but no information was provided about what it will look like.
This follows an ever-growing list of cross-promotional costumes to appear in Fall Guys, including (but not limited to) Doom Guy, Ninja (the Twitch streamer), Sonic the Hedgehog, Godzilla, and Team Fortress 2s Scout.
It feels like one of the more appropriate collaborations to take place, as well. Cuphead was one of the most critically acclaimed indie releases of 2017, winning several awards. A great deal of that love was based around the rubber hose animation style and hand drawn art and animations. What better way to support each other than to collaborate with Fall Guys, the hit indie game of 2020?
