Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp may have taken last month by storm, but the somewhat shallow nature of the game hasn't gone unnoticed. Collect bugs and fish, and give them to villagers. Use their garbage to build furniture. That's about all of it. Though the app will be receiving an update soon that adds a new layer to the game.

The UK Animal Crossing Twitter account announced what new features would be coming to Pocket Camp.

Here's some news about next month's #PocketCamp update! There will be a garden feature and outfit crafting. I also heard a familiar face will appear Stay tuned!

The left appears to be a garden. Tending to flowers, and strategically placing them to grow new breeds of flowers was a component of the main series. It appears to be making its way to Pocket Camp as well. The details of how this will work remain unknown.

The right side is a bit more obvious. The clothing crafting component of the game will be activated. If you visit the clothing crafting section of the game, it says coming soon. It appears that "soon" means January. With the update, players can craft clothing for themselves the same way that they can craft furniture.

They say a familiar face will appear while displaying a silhouette of a cat villager. The Animal Crossing series has 25 cat villagers. Though if I had to bet on which one this would be, I would say Blanca. She is a faceless white cat that appears in nearly every Animal Crossing game. Some of which have the player draw her a face. It being a "familiar face" is possibly a tease towards that.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is currently available for Android and iOS devices for free.
